It is possible for me to squeeze out many designs from even the smallest pieces of leather and leatherette. I am then left with crumbs of material which are building up in a box ready for a moment of inspiration! Any packaging I receive from jewellery findings I reuse for postal orders.

What do you do?
Bex & Bolt make contemporary jewellery and accessories from scrap leather and leatherette sourced predominantly from other makers. All designs are unique and limited due to the nature of using scraps. Once they're gone, they're gone!
They are created using a variety of techniques using special leather paints and set into hypoallergenic metals including stainless steel, sterling silver and increasingly eco silver to improve the sustainability of the brand.
My feature material utilises scraps that other makers are unable to use for their own designs. For example offcuts from bag, shoe and chair makers. Some of the larger scraps from chair makers would have been sent to landfill, but I pay for them to be sent to me instead to repurpose them.
