FAQs

Where is makers mews?

If you know the 'snail' car park in Ivybridge (the one with the turbine at the top of Fore street)- we're opposite that.

If not, we're in the big white stone barn, behind the billboard at the bottom of Harford Road.

When are you open?

We’re open Monday to Saturday 8am to 8pm for coworking + hotdesking.

The classroom is open as + when classes are happening.

We close on Sundays + Bank Holidays, to, like, go outside + stuff.

Is there parking?

Parking is available across the street in Harford Road car park. We have a drop-off zone on site, but no capacity for parked cars.

How did i not know you existed?

Well, there’s a whole heap of stuff to do when starting a business + marketing is my scary avoidey thing, so I avoided it. BUT we’re here now, so let’s get to publicly + loudly existing!

What’s the vibe, man?

Come + visit - check it out for yourself! We’ve videos etc on our Accessibility page for those who want a reccy beforehand.

It’s chill. We’re not fancy. There’s no corporate ceiling or carpet tiles. Everything’s a bit dishevelled (building + people). A judgement-free zone.

Can you fix my thingamabob?

On the last Saturday of each month we host a Repair Cafe, bringing together skilled volunteers, tea, cake + you guys with your broken thingamabobs.

PLEASE NOTE: This is not a commercial service- there are no promises or guarantees of a fix, just volunteers giving their best efforts to save your items for you.

I have some tools/art supplies that i don’t use, would you like them?

Probably! Thank you! The only thing that’ll curb our thirst would be storage space, so it could be worth pinging over an email first.

How do i get involved?

We’ve easy-in options for volunteers via our monthly Repair Cafe (it’s likely Share Shed would appreciate volunteer offers too).
If you’re game for helping out with building/grounds maintenance on an adhoc basis, we’d love to hear from you!

For teaching opportunities take a look at our Classroom Booking page for information on how we navigate this.
To attend classes you should have everything you need via the ‘I want to Learn’ page.

We’re working through the backend admin needed to consider work experience placements + will publish what we figure out when we do.
